The WURD on Chat - An Internet Tutorial
Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a world wide system where
multiple users can meet to talk in groups or privately.
These conversations occur on channels which are similar
to rooms or specific meeting places. Typically, there is
one particular topic of conversation in each place or on
each channel. You communicate with other people by typing
what you want to say. Other people's comments appear on your
computer screen prefaced by the speaker's name or nickname.

Servers and IRC Networks you can use with mIRC
To use mIRC you have to connect to an IRC Network.
The IRC networks consist of groups of servers in
close contact with eachother. Several of such
worldwide networks exist. The servers in a network
maintain the contact between you and all other users.
If you want to enjoy your IRC sessions it is important
to find servers that work (fast) for you (ie. that are
nearby to you) on networks with the athmosphere you like.
mIRC comes with a rather complete list of servers but you
can always download an updated version here, or select some
additional ones from the lists below.

An Introduction to Comic Chat
Hey, tired of the old style chat programs? You know,
the kind where you watch scrolling lines of text and
try to figure out who is speaking to who -- at the same
time. (I mean, who likes to sit and watch the credits
roll by at the end of a movie?) It was because of these
text-only programs, that people had to come up with
abbreviations to represent emotions: {S} for smile,
{G} for grin, LOL for Laugh out loud, etc..
But then Comic Chat (later renamed Microsoft Chat)
came along. Now just pick a character, to represent
you in a comic strip-style screen.

There is several ways to get the images you need to make
your own character . Before we go into that I will tell
you what you need. 1. you will need to have at least 12
poses as listed below. 2.You will also want a paint type
program like paint shop pro to edit the .bmp files you
import to become your character's poses.....

is a program that letz u be on any I.R.C. network and
